    Playground Safety Standards We Follow

Different markets use different frameworks. We design and manufacture to the standard that applies to your project — European EN series, US ASTM series, or both when your investors and insurers require dual compliance.

EN 1176 European standard for playground equipment and surfacing. Covers structural integrity, entrapment, fall height and installation requirements.
EN 1177 Impact-attenuating playground surfacing. Applied to foam pits, padded flooring and landing zones across our play systems.
ASTM F1487 US standard for public playground equipment. Widely referenced by US and Canadian authorities during site inspection.
ASTM F1918 US standard specific to soft contained play equipment — the primary reference for indoor playgrounds in North America.
ASTM F2970 US standard for trampoline courts. Applied to our commercial trampoline park projects and required by many US insurers.
EN ISO 23659 Standard for trampoline parks and trampoline equipment. Used for European trampoline park projects.

EN 1176 vs ASTM F1487: Which Applies to Your Market?

Buyers frequently ask whether EN 1176 or ASTM compliance is required. The answer depends on where the venue is built — not on the equipment itself. The table below shows how the two frameworks map onto a typical indoor playground project.

    Fire-Retardant Material Compliance

Indoor play venues are subject to local fire codes that frequently exceed general product standards. Our soft play materials, padded panels and textile elements are tested to recognised fire performance standards so your venue can pass inspection without replacing components after installation. For buyers sourcing fire rated soft play equipment, the full material certificate for each module is included in the project documentation pack.

EN 13501-1 European fire classification of construction products. Applied to padded panels and wall systems.
NFPA 701 US standard for flame propagation of textiles and films. Applied to fabrics, nets and soft covers.
UL 94 Flammability rating for plastic materials. Applied to moulded play components and enclosures.
ASTM E1354 Heat and visible smoke release rate testing. Used for material selection on higher-risk attractions.

    ISO Certified Factory Management Systems

Product testing only covers the sample submitted. Factory management certification covers every unit produced afterwards — which is why serious buyers ask for both. As an ISO certified playground manufacturer, our 50,000㎡ facility in Wenzhou operates under three certified management systems, audited annually.

Quality GB/T 19001 ISO 9001 quality management certificate - playground factory

    ISO 9001 / GB/T 19001

Quality management system certification covering design, production and inspection processes.

    Certificate Documents for Your Project

Compliance paperwork is usually requested by someone other than the buyer — a building department, a mall landlord, an insurance underwriter or an investor doing due diligence. We prepare the document set for each audience.

    1
For local authorities & building departments Test reports referenced to the applicable EN or ASTM standard, declaration of conformity and installation drawings.
    2
For mall owners & landlords Fire-retardant material certificates, structural loading summary and insurance-ready compliance statement.
    3
For insurance underwriters Certificate pack covering equipment certification, maintenance schedule and warranty terms.
    4
For investors & due diligence Factory ISO certificates, third-party test reports and project reference list.
    5
Verification Every certificate carries an issuing body and certificate number that can be verified with the issuing organisation directly.

    Certification Questions, Answered

The questions buyers ask most often before signing.

What certifications do your indoor playgrounds have?
Our indoor playground equipment is covered by CE conformity, TÜV test reports for play structures and rides, VC certification and GTS third-party test reports. Factory systems are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. The exact certificate set depends on the product line and destination market — request the pack for your project and we will send the matching documents.
Do you have EN 1176 certificates?
Yes. EN 1176 and EN 1177 test reports are available for our European projects, together with CE declarations of conformity. EN 1176 covers playground equipment and EN 1177 covers impact-attenuating surfacing such as foam pits and padded flooring. Both documents are commonly requested by EU authorities during installation approval.
Do you have ASTM F2970 certificates for trampoline parks?
Yes. ASTM F2970 test reports are available for commercial trampoline park projects in the United States and Canada, alongside ASTM F1487 and ASTM F1918 reports for playground and soft contained play equipment. For European trampoline projects we supply EN ISO 23659 documentation instead.
Can you provide CE and TÜV certificates?
Yes, both. CE declarations of conformity are issued for EU market projects, and TÜV test reports are available for play structures and mechanical ride attractions. Every document lists the issuing organisation and certificate number so your authority or insurer can verify it directly.
    Are your materials fire-retardant?
Our soft play materials, padded panels and textile elements are tested to EN 13501-1, NFPA 701, UL 94 and ASTM E1354 as required by the destination market. Fire performance certificates are supplied as part of the project documentation package, which is typically what mall landlords and insurers ask for.
Can you provide certificates for local approval?
Yes. We routinely prepare documentation for building departments, mall landlords, insurance underwriters and investors. Send us the specific standards or checklist your authority requires and we will confirm which documents we can supply — and flag any item that needs local testing after installation.

Need a Certificate for Your Project?
