31 m² Soft Play Centre Project in Moldova
Delivered project · 3D design renderings shown · Moldova
This 31 m² soft play corner in Moldova is the smallest project in our reference library, and it is here to answer one question: how little space does a real indoor playground equipment set actually need? NinescapeLand answered with a cream-and-light-blue macaron room built around a teardrop ball pool — a yellow translucent wave slide from a raised platform, a frosted tube tunnel crossing the structure, a padded staircase with an orange handrail, wall-mounted marble runs and gear boards on the upper level, and a red-and-white striped column as the room’s single bold graphic. It is proof that a 31 m² unit can hold a two-level play loop instead of a corner of toys.

Background & Site Conditions
The room is a compact single space opening onto a corridor through a glass door and window, so the play is visible from outside — at this size that matters more than any signage. Inside there is no structural division: the ball pool takes the middle-left of the floor, the staircase runs up the right-hand wall, and the platform it reaches sits directly above the pool, turning one room into two levels.
Everything is soft. The pool rim, staircase, platform balustrade and even the tunnel are upholstered or moulded, and the balustrade alternates solid padded panels with transparent segments so a parent at the door can follow a child right round the loop: stairs up, wall games and soft blocks on the deck, then slide or tunnel back down into the balls.
Layout & Zoning

The loop is short and completely visible: door, pool, stairs on the right, deck along the wall, and two ways down — the wave slide or the tube tunnel — both landing in the same teardrop pool.
- Ball pool — teardrop-shaped pool with a light blue soft rim and yellow, blue, white and grey balls, set into a white terrazzo-look floor.
- Wave slide — a yellow translucent open slide with a petal-shaped mouth, curving from the platform down into the pool.
- Tube tunnel — a frosted translucent tube crossing the structure diagonally from the deck — a slower second way down beside the slide.
- Stair & handrail — padded yellow steps with an orange handrail strip, deliberately shallow for small legs.
- Upper platform — blue deck with a yellow play surface, droplet and wave-shaped cut-out railings plus transparent glass segments, and soft blocks in the corner.
- Wall games — a yellow wall panel of marble runs, dials and gears lettered “Move your hands”, plus a triptych frame of puzzle panels.
- Arch & crawl entry — a yellow arch doorway combined with a blue arch on the lower level, giving a third route in and out of the pool.
Why this arrangement: at 31 m² the platform has to sit over the pool, not beside it, or there would be no pool left. Keeping the stairs against the wall leaves the floor clear and gives the room one uninterrupted sightline from the door, while the two exits from the deck — a fast slide and a slow tunnel — split traffic so children never queue at a single point. The wall games use the only surface a room this small has left, and they give the upper level a reason to exist beyond the slide.

Design Trade-offs
The 31 m² trade-off is brutal and clean: there is room for one big idea, so the budget goes into vertical play and nothing into rides, arcade or a cafe. A platform over the pool buys a second level for the price of structure, whereas a ball pool alone would have made the room a waiting area. The second decision is keeping the slide short and the tunnel slow — at this size the drop has to stay gentle, so the attraction is the route rather than the speed, which also keeps the age range at roughly 1–6 and the supervision load low.
Materials & Safety
- Soft upholstered cream and light-blue panels on every edge, all corners radiused, no exposed frame
- Yellow translucent moulded slide and frosted tube with soft-clad entry and exit
- Padded stair treads with orange anti-impact nosing; solid padded balustrade with glass infill sections
- White terrazzo-look vinyl flooring with a soft light-blue pool surround
- LED strips following the structure outlines, downlights in the white ceiling, hanging yellow “ball pit” lightbox sign
Timeline & Budget Reference
| Stage | What happens | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| 3D design | Send your floor plan, ceiling height and theme ideas — our in-house designers return a themed 3D layout with a full equipment list | 3–7 working days |
| Production & QC | Steel frames and soft padding are manufactured at our own facility, with safety checks and photo/video reports before packing | 20–30 days |
| Sea freight | Container shipping with full export documents to Constanta (Romania), then truck to Moldova; door delivery can be arranged | 25–35 days |
| Installation & opening | Two NinescapeLand technicians supervise assembly with your local labour, then safety-check and hand over | 3–5 days |
For a turnkey indoor playground in Moldova this adds up to roughly 60–75 days from deposit to opening. Budgets for a venue of this size vary mainly with theming density and the play-structure height — send us your floor plan for a firm, itemised quote rather than a rough range.

FAQ
How small can a soft play installation be?
This project is 31 m² and still contains a ball pool, a slide, a tunnel, a raised platform, wall games and a soft block corner. Below roughly 25 m² you are usually choosing between a ball pool and a climb rather than having both.
Is 31 m² enough to be profitable?
Only with a very low cost base: a modest equipment package, one attendant, low rent, and a model built on short sessions or on being an add-on to a cafe or family venue. At this size the play area is a footfall and dwell-time investment more than a standalone attraction.
Why is the slide translucent yellow?
Because a solid slide would block the only sightline in the room. Translucency keeps the platform readable from the door and turns the slide itself into a light feature at night.
What ages does a room this size serve?
Roughly 1–6. The pool, shallow stairs and soft blocks take toddlers, while the wave slide and tube tunnel are the step up for 4–6 year olds. There is no space for teen attractions and the design does not pretend otherwise.
How is the equipment shipped to Moldova?
We ship to Constanta in Romania and truck onward to Moldova, with full export documents, and our technicians supervise installation with your local crew. Start with your floor plan through our contact page.
