420 m² Indoor Playground Project in Ningbo, China
Delivered project · 3D design renderings shown · China (Ningbo)
This 420 m² indoor playground in Ningbo, China was designed and equipped by NinescapeLand, a factory-direct indoor playground equipment manufacturer in Wenzhou. The theme is a warm “candy town”: orange, beige and milk-coffee walls painted with European town-house facades, black-and-white polka-dot flooring, and a central yellow-white ball pool crowned by a striped-canopy carousel. The programme is deliberately broad for its size — three wide racing slides, a spiral tube slide, a trampoline zone with a dance screen and foam-block pit, a climbing wall trio, a WALL GAMES interactive wall, floor piano keys, a swing-and-net cage, a full role-play street with fire and police stations, a farm, plus VR and arcade corners. Below you will find the gallery, zoning logic, equipment list and a domestic delivery timeline for this indoor playground project.

Background & Site Conditions
The hall is double-height with a mezzanine shown on the three floor plans, entered from a glass curtain wall side that opens onto a timber deck outside. Circulation forms a ring around the central ball pool: the trampoline and foam-block zone runs down the left side, the role-play street — supermarket, fire and police stations, kitchen, gas station, garage, farm, VR and arcade — lines the right wall one facade after another, and the swing/net cage rises through both levels at the end of the loop.
This is a different project from our other 420 m² Ningbo case study (the cream macaron role-play house centre). Both venues share some modules — a spiral tube slide, ball pool, climbing wall and pixel block wall — but this one is the “big day out” option: carousel, triple wide slide, trampoline zone with a dance screen, foam-block pit, VR, arcade and fire/police role play, at roughly double the attraction count of the macaron centre. Operators choosing between the two concepts are really choosing between calm repeat play and maximum throughput.
Layout & Zoning

The floor plan shows a ring: the Welcome ball-pool entrance and carousel at the centre, trampolines and climbing along one side, the role-play street along the opposite wall, and the swing/net cage plus second-floor huts closing the loop upstairs.
- Welcome entrance & ball pool — a bulb-lit “welcome” arch with a big screen, opening onto a yellow-white ball pool with a lollipop prop and a white slide exit.
- Triple wide slide — three full-width racing slides in purple, yellow and brown under a “slide” sign — three children descend side by side, which is what keeps queues short at peak time.
- Carousel — a striped white-orange canopy carousel with light-trimmed edge standing directly at the pool rim, the visual landmark of the whole town.
- Spiral slide — a beige white-dot semi-transparent spiral tube slide winding down a large column, paired with the second-floor huts and zigzag staircase.
- Trampoline zone — black round trampoline beds with a dance-machine screen wall, timer display and star-and-moon decor, plus an orange/white/brown foam-block pit with number-block climbing points and a “Finish” marker.
- Climbing & interactive wall — a three-panel climbing wall with polygonal holds, window-frame panels and a yellow pipe climbing column, next to a full pink WALL GAMES wall of marble runs, gears and sliders, and rainbow floor piano keys.
- Role-play street — supermarket with awning shelves and carts, red Fire Station and blue Police Station with uniform props, a purple-blue kitchen, a 97 Gas station with rocking cars, an auto-repair bay with a jeep on a lift, and a fenced Happy Farm with a cow rocker, carrot tree and hen-laying game.
- Swing & net cage — a white steel frame through both levels with rope-net floors, banana bag swings, a barrel swing, plum-blossom soft stools and sisal punching columns.
- VR, arcade & blocks — a fenced VR zone under its bulb arch, a HAPPY arcade room with racing cabinets, and a grey pixel block wall with rainbow, fox and owl mosaics.
Why this arrangement: the carousel sits at the centre rather than against a wall because it is the one attraction that sells the venue — visible from the door, from the mezzanine and through the glass wall. The trampoline and foam-pit zone takes the left run so its noise and block scatter stay on one side, while the role-play street on the right is compartmentalised by facades that dampen sound between houses. And the swing/net cage was pushed to the end of the loop where its double height uses the void above the street instead of consuming ground-floor area.

Design Trade-offs
Two choices are worth copying. First, the triple wide slide: three children descend abreast, so peak-hour throughput roughly triples against a single slide of the same footprint — the correct spend when weekend crowds define your revenue. Second, the trampoline zone uses a foam-block pit instead of a second ball pool: blocks are cheaper to replace, they double as climbing material on the pit wall, and the dance screen next to them turns waiting time into play. If your catchment skews under 5, swap the foam pit back to a shallow ball pool and enlarge the toddler slide corner.
Materials & Safety
- Beige and orange walls with painted town-house facades, wave-striped panels and rounded soft-clad columns and door frames
- Black-white polka-dot PVC flooring in the main areas; herringbone and polka mats in the role-play houses; orange padding in the trampoline zone
- Cream classical balustrade fencing (ball finials) around the VR zone and ball pool; timber farm fencing; steel frame with rope-net enclosure for the swing cage
- Soft padding on all structure corners, stair edges and slide landings
- Oval milk-white wall lamps, bulb-string arches, light strips, cloud light-film ceiling and partial mirror ceiling panels

FAQ
How does a 420 m² hall fit this many attractions?
By using double height: the mezzanine and net cage carry the swings and second-floor huts, while the ground floor keeps a single ring circulation so every zone is reachable in a few steps. Nothing here needs more than 2.5 m of headroom except the spiral slide and cage.
Is this the same project as the macaron role-play centre?
No — both are 420 m² NinescapeLand projects in Ningbo, but different venues with different concepts. This candy-town centre has a carousel, triple wide slide, foam pit, VR and arcade; the macaron centre trades those for five role-play houses, a SHOW TIME stage and a fenced toddler zone.
Is the VR zone and arcade worth including?
They are optional modules, but at this size they pull in 8–12 year-olds who outgrow the ball pool, and they run on per-minute revenue that needs no extra floor area.
What ages does the candy town serve?
Roughly 1–12: toddler slides, piano keys, farm rockers and the ball pool for under-6s; wide slides, trampolines, climbing wall, net cage, VR and arcade for school age.
How fast can a domestic project like this be delivered?
For projects in China the full cycle runs 30–45 days from deposit to opening. For overseas clients, or to start your own plan, reach us through our contact page.
