800 m² Indoor Sports Arena Project in Portugal
Delivered project · 3D design renderings shown · Portugal
This 800 m² indoor sports arena in Portugal was designed and equipped by NinescapeLand, a factory-direct playground equipment manufacturer in Wenzhou, China. The theme is industrial and mechanical — bright yellow columns, black safety striping, a full gear-wall with a timer screen — and the programme is unapologetically sporty: a trampoline basketball court, a real indoor football pitch, a CHALLENGE climbing tower, a foam pit with a suspended ninja rig, and a striped toddler corner in one corner. Use it as a benchmark if you are planning a sports-led play arena rather than a soft-play centre.

Background & Site Conditions
The space is a long rectangle on a regular column grid, with the existing steel trusses left exposed and reused as the suspension points for the ninja rig and linear lighting. Yellow-painted square columns are treated as part of the theme rather than obstacles; all partitions are white mesh fence panels on white posts, giving the whole venue the look of an indoor sports ground where every zone is visible from everywhere.
The client wanted two clearly separated worlds: a striped, softer toddler strip so under-4s never mix with flying footballs, and a hard sports core for school-age and teens. The plan diagram places reception and facilities at the bottom corner, football and facilities along the top, and the biggest foam pit in the lower right.
Layout & Zoning

Reading the plan from the entrance: trampoline court on the left, climbing and toddler strip in the middle band, football pitch top right, and the gear wall with its raised platform anchoring the bottom centre.
- Trampoline basketball court — three rows of black trampoline beds with cream dividers, three green-framed hoops on one wall, white mesh all around.
- Indoor football pitch — grey sports floor with white pitch markings, a full goal with net, and a large window overlooking greenery.
- Climbing tower & walls — grey climbing panels with yellow/white holds plus a striped CHALLENGE tower and an orange-red bouldering face, landing beside the pit.
- Foam pit + ninja rig — white/yellow foam blocks under a white truss carrying rings, chain bars, balance boards and woven balls.
- Gear interactive wall — a full yellow facade of giant gears, conveyors, springs and valves, with a metal rung ladder, cantilevered soft steps and a digital timer above the platform.
- Toddler soft-play strip — red-white striped floor with a complete moulded soft set: slide with green platform, arch crawl, high deck, mushroom stools.
- Party / multi room — a striped-floor room with long tables and a canopy cart for birthdays or classes.
Why this arrangement: the mesh-fence system means supervision works with half the staff of a walled venue — one person at the platform can see trampolines, pitch and pit at once. The gear wall does double duty as the park’s Instagram backdrop and its timing-game attraction, which is why it sits opposite the entrance rather than hidden in a corner. And the toddler strip is placed on the route between entrance and pitch, so families with mixed ages never have to split up.

Design Trade-offs
The notable decision is the football pitch: real turf-scale pitches eat area that could hold two more attractions, but they pull birthday football parties and weekday club training — revenue that trampolines alone do not capture. We kept the pitch and compensated by using mesh fencing everywhere else, which costs far less per square metre than walls and keeps sightlines intact. The second decision: no fixed cafe — the party room doubles as the parents’ seating during normal hours.

Timeline & Budget Reference
| Stage | What happens | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| 3D design | Send your floor plan, ceiling height and theme ideas — our in-house designers return a themed 3D layout with a full equipment list | 3–7 working days |
| Production & QC | Steel frames and soft padding are manufactured at our own facility, with safety checks and photo/video reports before packing | 20–30 days |
| Sea freight | Container shipping with full export documents to Portuguese ports (Leixões / Lisbon); door delivery can be arranged | 25–35 days |
| Installation & opening | Two NinescapeLand technicians supervise assembly with your local labour, then safety-check and hand over | 3–5 days |
For a turnkey indoor playground in Portugal this adds up to roughly 60–75 days from deposit to opening. Budgets for a venue of this size vary mainly with theming density and the play-structure height — send us your floor plan for a firm, itemised quote rather than a rough range.

FAQ
Why include a real football pitch indoors?
Because it monetises differently: club training, football birthdays and drop-in games on weekday afternoons when trampoline demand is low. At 800 m² the pitch shown is compact but full-goals.
Is the gear wall playable or just decoration?
Both: the gears and valves are hands-on interactive elements, the ladder and soft steps make it climbable, and the timer screen turns the wall into a speed-challenge game.
How is the toddler area protected from the sports zones?
It sits behind mesh fencing on the far side of the circulation route, with its own moulded soft set sized for 1–4 year olds.
Can this concept drop the football pitch?
Yes — the pitch bay converts into a second trampoline court or a ninja warrior track with almost no changes to the surrounding plan.
Do you ship and install in Portugal?
Yes — container delivery to Portuguese ports with supervised installation. Start via our contact page.
